How Radon Enters a House
“What is radon, and should I get a radon test when buying a new home?”
Radon is a cancer-causing radioactive gas. You cannot see, smell or taste radon, but it may be a problem in your home. It is also the second leading cause of lung cancer in the US today. Radon comes from the natural decay of uranium in the soil/bedrock that may be present under our homes. Getting a radon test is a great idea for peace of mind. Especially if you plan on utilizing your basement for things like living spaces, or a nice man cave.

At Quality Care Home Inspections we are also certified in testing the radon levels in your home. Feel free to add it to your next inspection, or schedule a stand-alone test.
